Burlesque is a 2010 musical film, written and directed by Steve Antin, featuring such major singers as Cher and Christina Aguilera. It was revealed that both of them would contribute to the soundtrack album.
Christina Aguilera debuts in her first feature film as Ali, a small-town girl with a great voice and who tries her luck to achieve stardom performing as a singer in a nightclub in Los Angeles. The Burlesque Lounge, a regal but old theater is the home to a musical revue, and also a club where legends are born. It is where Ali is hired as a cocktail waitress, by club owner and headliner Tess (Cher). Ali is enchanted by the club’s costumes and choreography and promises herself to perform at the Burlesque one day.
